Dispersion or mineral paint?

Conventional dispersion paints

High synthetic binder content can seal walls. Less moisture can pass through – together with dry heating air this can stress indoor comfort.

Mineral eco coatings

Silicate and lime paints work with the substrate: breathable pore structure, capillary action and an alkaline environment that can support a healthier room climate.

Key benefits

Low solvent & VOC

No harsh chemical odours – pleasant for bedrooms, nurseries and sensitive occupants.

Humidity balance

Mineral layers can absorb humidity peaks and release moisture when heating air is dry.

Alkaline surface

Natural lime’s high pH can inhibit mould spores – when moisture is under control, not as a substitute for building remediation.

Low static charge

Surfaces pick up less fine dust and stay easy to clean.

Two service levels

Bio topcoat (gentle climate refresh)

Ideal for: Stable, well-kept substrates that need a healthy refresh without full stripping.

Process

  1. Dust-reduced sanding with professional extraction
  2. Mineral quartz-sand bonding primer
  3. Two coats of premium silicate or slaked lime paint

Benefit: Low-VOC indoor air and mineral mould resistance in a cost-efficient package.

Full mineral system (breathable renovation)

Ideal for: Period flats, nurseries, bedrooms and allergy households with older synthetic layers.

Process

  1. Remove or deep-sand old dispersion layers (after inspection)
  2. Silicate binding primer
  3. Full-surface breathable lime smoothing filler
  4. Finish with fine lime paint, limewash look or silicate topcoat

Benefit: Maximum vapour diffusion, natural wall character and timeless texture.

Dust-reduced working

No construction chaos: professional sanding with M-class extraction keeps dust much lower. Furniture and floors are protected – your rooms stay as clean as possible.

FAQ – eco & healthy painting

Can silicate or lime paint go over old dispersion paint?

Often yes – but only after checking the substrate. We sand correctly, open pores and use a mineral quartz-sand primer. Peeling or thick plastic layers may require removal or the full mineral system.

How does the flat smell after eco painting?

Much more neutral than high-solvent products. Mineral paints are low in solvents – many rooms can be used the same day once coats are dry.

Is eco paint more expensive than standard dispersion?

Real slaked lime and silicate cost more in materials. You invest in air quality, durability and a breathable wall system. After photos or a visit you get a transparent fixed quote.

Does mineral paint help with mould?

An alkaline coating can inhibit spores but does not replace building repair. Moisture ingress, leaks or poor ventilation must be fixed and dried first.

Does the eco upgrade fit apartment refresh packages?

Yes. Basic, Comfort or Complete can add the eco & climate upgrade – from topcoat to full mineral renovation depending on wall condition.
